The Success Story of Kalaluka
Some people find inspiration for who they want to become when they grow up from a television show or a movie they watched as a child. As a teenager, Kalaluka spent time watching a criminal investigation series called 24 that was broadcast every day on the Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation or ZNBC. From there, he made up his mind that he wanted to become an investigator.
USAID Youth Excel: A Research Project with Impact
The Amos Youth Centre was awarded a USAID Youth Excel Research-to-Change grant in July 2022 to strengthen menstrual health and hygiene (MHH) management for girls’ education in Zambia. This activity provided small grants to local, youth-led, and youth-serving organizations; in some cases, these were the first USAID grants that these organizations received and this was the case for our organization as well.
The Inspirational Story of Annie
Annie is an Assistant Teacher with the Read for Rose Special Education Program where she works alongside the Amos Youth Centre’s Director of Special Education, Febby Choombe. Together, they have made a significant difference in the lives of the 21 students they work with every day.
